Citizens Advice Derbyshire Districts provides free, impartial, independent and confidential advice for everyone across Amber Valley, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash and High Peak.
Board meetings: 4 per annum in Derbyshire Dales District Council office Matlock
Strategy Meetings: Annually, Derbyshire
Other Committees: Human Resources, Finance and Risk, Service Delivery, all quarterly
AGM / EGM Annually, Matlock
The Board Apprentice will be invited to attend Board, Sub-Committees (Finance, HR, Service Delivery), Project and other meetings such as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Steering Group
Other meetings Directors/Trustees are invited to such as workers meetings and occasional working/project group meetings

Currently we are under-represented by young people, those from diverse ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities, those from disadvantaged backgrounds
Passion to make a difference in local communities and some understanding of the not for profit / charitable sector.
ICT, fundraising and income generation, finance would be advantageous but not essential
Ability to take (often contradictory) information from different sources and apply to strategic issues
Ability to make decisions in challenging circumstances
Willingness and ability to raise and discuss complex and difficult issues
