Ideally someone who comes from a non-financial organisation, retail, hospitality, agriculture etc as we are well-represented from the finance industry. Due to the nature of the committee, an individual who is developing towards Director level and would benefit from observing more senior professionals representing a range of committee interests.
The individual will already have senior management experience and are looking for their next step to Director level. An Apprentice who has an interest in the Jersey economy and keen to understand how a professional body such as the IoD can influence and represent the interests of the community.
Quite flexible with regards to skill set – needs to be inquisitive and happy to provide views if asked. A natural interest in how Jersey is run will provide a greater experience for the Apprentice.
Local /Non-Local Resident:
All meetings are held in Jersey either F2F or virtually so there is no expectation that expenses would be required.
The IoD Executive Committee is a different body compared to many Board Apprentice opportunities as we are a professional body representing the interests of Directors compared to boards that have a more formal structure in the public, private or charitable sectors.
It is recommended that any interested Apprentice should at first look at our websites at www.iod.je and www.iod.com for more information about what we do.
